These three sculptures are my most recent, finished in July 2009. As with my stair series, they are made from balsa wood and painted with watercolor. They are shown by themselves, and with their accompanying 2D watercolor paintings. Each one is based off a photograph I took on a recent trip to Ireland. The following is my sculptural watercolor stair series: balsa wood sculptures, painted over with watercolor and gouache. They are small - none are higher than 16in, or wider than 12in - and delicate. After Sunset, Blue Chair Green Stairs, and Up the Tower were sold during a show at the Goodrich Gallery in May.
